Ken Tobias was born and raised on the Olympic Peninsula, in Port Angeles. He started his career as a carpenter in Seattle and has been working in construction for the past 35 years.
Over the course of that time, my business as a contractor has taken on a wide variety of projects. These projects range from basic decks and roofs to the construction of high end homes and commercial remodels. My role, as a contractor, includes marketing my business, estimating jobs, contract development, project management, and customer relations.
An additional role that I played, on a number of projects, was to work with the customer or architect to design a project that meets their needs and budget. Valuable attributes that I bring to my profession are organizational skills, excellent customer communication, and in-depth knowledge of construction techniques, building regulations and materials. Added to that skill set, I also have a background in property management and the demands of multiple dwelling units (MDU) maintenance.
